The Charlton Strip (FAA: 05FL) is about 6 miles North of the Immokalee, Florida Airport (IMM) and 15 miles south of the Labelle Municipal Airport (X14).
It is a private airstrip created by John F. Charlton to serve the aviation needs of the family and local community. The first runway (14/32) was built in 1962 and used by Mr. Charlton to commute to his airline pilot job in Miami using an AT-6 based at IMM and later a Fairchild 24 and a Navion both based at Charlton Strip. More recently a 2900 ft runway was added (9/27) and is the only actively used runway now.
